Golf has been credited with contributing significantly to the growth of sports and thriving Florida leisure industry.
Sports and Leisure in the U.S. state, a favorite destination for English tourists has increased from 16 billion U.S. dollars a year in 1999 an estimated $ 36 billion ten years later.

"We are fortunate to have the support of Governor Crist and the Florida Visit Florida Sports Foundation to help promote golf and tourism in our state, "Steranko said.
"Golf is a stable industry, as we saw the week Days in Orlando during the vibrant PGA Merchandise Show, which attracted over 40,000 industry leaders in golf. "
