Wood Reg

If heated with a wood stove could help?
I live in Oregon and heated with wood before, now I have to use again as I have to live in debt in my retirement and I am sick. Why can not I just buy a stove wood can do, I know that firewood is not cheap, but it may be cheaper than quadrupled NAT. Gas prices and the warmth of wood use. I not done since 1988 and must be updated. I know there burning reg. air quality, but I was told locally in my city is not a problem. I know that buying wood is expensive, but I cut where I live. I wonder of financial constraints, etc., or benefits since I am Release of heat from the wood since 1988. I have a place to put it when I bought the house, took the wood stove and the rock is a beautiful house and open the pipe connecting the stove.
First, check with your homeowners insurance about fees for different types of woodburners. When I did, my agent said, built a fireplace was very nice but a wood stove free Permanent raise rates by 10% due to the possibility of Fire damage. Having your unit installed by a professional. The newer units are much more effective than before so you'll probably save money.
