Is this common among top level athlete?
I have a friend on facebook who is a kick boxer. Today he put up a post and someone asked about his work out routine. To my shock, this is his work out routine:
15 mins stretches
Mon- Run 5 miles with 50 lbs vest
Tues- 20 set of 50 yards up hill sprint with 25 lbs vest
Wed- Wind sprint (running 3 mile, but sprint 50 yards then jog 100 then sprint again and repeat)
Thur- 20 set of 50 yards up hill sprint with 25 lbs vest
Fri- Run 5 miles with 50 lbs vest
30 mins of cross fit work out with 90 seconds break each 10 minutes
15 mins stretches.
That doesn't include training at his kickboxing gym which he says last three hours.
This just totally blow my mind. He's only 145 lbs but yet he is doing all of this running with 50 lbs vest on and work out like crazy. I am having kinda hard time to believe that a human could handle such work out. Does top level athlete even work out this hard?
