Vw Golf Mark VI Late Phaeton, Next-gen smaller
According Volkswagenâ € ™ s Production Development Executive Ulrich Hackenberg, VW fans have to wait longer than expected for the next generation Golf. He added that the VW Golf VI will arrive in dealerships in the latter part 2008.
This is contrary to previous reports that VW was involved in following up the development of the model is that the reduction in sales in U.S. and increased competition from radically style models, including the New Honda Civic.

Version two-door was dropped in favor of the new Scirocco. The Mark VI Golf is a four-door hatch and a minivan with the Europe-only Golf Plus. There will be numerous options engine for the new Golf. These include a new 1.6L TSI engine developing 200hp and a high performance 2.0L version with 260hp in the GTI. Some reports say that the top of the line 3.6L FSI V6 engine taken from the Passat R36 281hp and complete development of the Golf range.
VW also announced a 30 percent version more fuel efficient. This is because VW Polo Blue Motion were put in the last quarter of 2006. Blue Motion models used gearboxes to reduce low speed fuel consumption and low resistance tires to save extra fuel.
Meanwhile, contrary to the trend of car manufacturers to raise a face € ™ s size with each new model change, VW plans to make its flagship Phaeton sedan smaller for the new 2010 model.
The announcement was made VW chief Martin Winterkorn, who told reporters in Germany € ™ s Der Spiegel the next Phaeton will be based on next-generation A6 Audi with the two vehicles share many components.
With this model, VW is expected to make substantial savings because there is no need to develop expensive components, as a transmission or power train. The current model Phaeton never managed to meet its projected sales expectations, with only a quarter of the 20,000 planned units to leave the showroom.
The Phaeton had several flaws going against it. Unlike its aluminum constructed Audi A8 sibling, the Phaeton weighs too much, no motor performance and easily exhausted, so they need more fuel. The label also lacks the VW brand distinction needed in this segment premium. Analysts say the German automaker will not make the same mistake with its next version. According to the source, the new Audi A8 will be larger than the Phaeton, which in turn is larger than the A6, and technologies to show the new generation of Bentley Continental.
In an interview Bloomberg last April, VW spokesman Andreas Meurer America revealed that the Phaeton would be a return to the U.S. after the slow-selling sedan was withdrawn from the market in 2005.
