New car?

The transmission in my truck exploded. It is not worth the repair or replacement due to the condition of the truck. Now I want a used car. The three cars that were cut are ... VW Golf Honda Civic Toyota Corolla'm looking more mpg (my Car has 12), utility (Golf), the reliability and durability (Civic and Corolla), and fun to drive. I get the vehicle with manual transmission. Greed surfing and would like something that could take my long board (about 9'6 ") around. I live in the Northeast. The area almost no mountains, but we have lots of snow. I do not mean anything to the car, plus maintenance. I Wanted to avoid spend more than $ 10,000. In this context, what is your opinion? Comparisons and personal experience are appreciated. Any other suggestion would be amazing car. Best answer gets 10 points! Thank you in advance!

My advice would be to go with the Honda Civic. For $ 10,000 you could find a reliable Civic is certified by Honda. It is very important. To obtain a certificate used Civic with 7 YEARS / 100,000 miles warranty. I would not spend much money on a car that is not certified or under warranty. who spend days at the dealership for repairs, will not be funny. The Corolla is very low fuel consumption, but is not as elegant as the pleasure or the Civic. So when you add it all, Civic is the only one in this group that considers three factors. FUN-TO-DRIVE. MORE MPG. And perhaps most importantly, reliability. Well, your choice of transmission. There is nothing more fun than changing their own equipment (and fuel economy and reliability). Now, if you want to buy new car, you could spend a little (not much) more money and get a Nissan Versa. The Versa is safe, secure, reliable, spacious, and the only vehicle in its class with a six-speed manual transmission, STANDARD. I hope this answer helped and good luck with your car purchase.
