how long should a plant have a gro lite shining on it?
this plant is out on my deck all summer and grows great Once I bring it in the house all the leaves begin to brown and fall off.
I can't remember the name of the plant, but it gets hugh pink-like flowers on it that are just beautiful.
The plant you're describing sounds like a mandevilla. The reason the leaves are turning brown and falling off is because your changing the light intensity too quickly. The plant (any plant) needs time to acclimate to the new light intensity. As the plant acclimates to a life indoors the leaf browning will stop. Also cut back on the watering a bit, and try to place the plant in a bright area of the house. If your plant is a mandevilla it should acclimate fairly quickly as they like bright light to light shade when they're outside. And forget the grow light.
