neuter question...help?
I have a 6 month old Boston Terrier puppy who got neutered a week ago. I took him in for his check up and the vert said it looked like he still had his balls....and it does. She stuck a needle in there and she said she looked at it under a microscope and that it may just be inflamed tissue. She wasnt the one who did the "surgery" so she sent me home with an antibiotic and said come back in a week when the other vet who did the surgery is in. Is it possible they didnt do the surgery? He had stitches so they did something. They are two circle lumps that look like he still has his manhood!!!
Well, when a dog is neutered, they do not cut off the scrotum, they simply remove the testicles. Maybe his scrotal area is irritated..has he been licking the area? He could still have some inflammation or a small infection.
