Rolls-Royce Phantom will be limited supply Silver

Rolls-Royce to mark the 100th anniversary of the legendary Silver Ghost has developed the limited edition Phantom Silver. This special model, of which only 25 are to be produced, paid tribute to one of the most famous automotive names of all time.

The Silver Ghost was produced for the first time in 1906 with the primary intention of promoting the then new Rolls-Royce 40/50 six-cylinder model HP. The Silver Ghost has helped develop the Rolls-Royce reputation for reliability and engineering excellence.

The name Silver Spirit was coined in 1907 by Rolls-Royce managing director, Claude Johnson, by virtue of its silver body and Ness extraordinary secrecy. The original Silver Ghost was registered with the AX-201, competed in the 1907 Scottish Reliability Trial by which he won the gold medal in its class for climbing speed and reliability. For that year, the Silver Ghost was able to break the world record for performance nonstop motor, covering the route from London to Glasgow 27 times with a total mileage of 14,371 miles.

From 1907-1925 silver Ghosts of more than 6,000 are built and sold in different parts of the world. And today most of the Silver Ghost was still in perfect condition.

To pay tribute to the original specifications, the new limited edition Phantom Silver is finished in a new custom paint, Metallic Ghost Silver. It is equipped with 21-inch wheels that have chromium centers in the top of the grid were marked with solid silver Spirit of Ecstasy. Rolls-Royce Motors was the result of the merger of the business of Rolls-Royce cars Rolls-Royce Limited in 1973.
