Eight deadly sins that are committed Popular Hipotecario
If we could identify errors that are killing your bridge game or your golf game or your workout routine, or your budget plan, or whatever, you see that information and correct these errors?
Of course yes, as I do, but what about critical errors that sometimes make as mortgage professionals? Have you determined if you are making some errors in his career mortgage?
Review the following points and then answer this question about each item: Am I guilty of this? A simple yes or no will. OK ... Here we go!
1. Failure to establish a unique marketing position. There are plenty of people out there and mortgage you need to set yourself apart from the pack. Most of us simply cease to be creative and innovative. The result ... We do not differentiate our company and our products from the rest of the pack. It's the old "me too" thinking and that is a huge mistake.
The easiest way to solve this is to specialize. Choose an area of study, focus on it and become an expert in this field.
As you know, I love FSBOs to concentrate. But, you may become an expert in First Time Home Buyers, no documentation loans, VA loans, FHA loans, subprime loans, or loans officer real estate, for example. The beauty of our business is that there are tons of options ... ... and a selection of it!
2. Lack of professional appearance. Have you taken a critical view of the image that represent current and potential customers? Better yet, have someone check your materials for you and give you an opinion honestly.
Now, I'm not talking about business cards and stationery. I'm talking about every piece of sales, marketing, and correspondence (including e e) that a customer or prospect ends.
Let me give you an example. These are some of the directions I see; millionaire redlightlady, redneck, hotnsexy, studman, foxylady, mrbig, to name a few. There are many more who are not even willing to post here.
What in the world you thinking people?
I certainly hope that the email address you use in your business is much more professional. Even if you use several email addresses, Are not you afraid of choosing the identity for your message? I am ... and none of my identity could never be construed as offensive.
You should always appear to be morally, ethically and politically correct ... regardless of personal opinion.
3. The lack of set and periodically review goals. Have you set some goals for your mortgage business? You know ... things like how much you like to do this year including special treatment for achieve this goal ... the number of closures required for revenue ... How many loan applications necessary to actually close that many loans ... the number of applications from new prospects and the number of your existing database ... and, finally, how many calls I have to do each day to reach those applications.
Unless you go through the logic above several times a year, you will have a difficult time in this business. The establishment objectives allows you to direct your ship by looking in the mortgage business in small, easy to follow steps. Post a photo or drawing of that special gift or a goal you have set in a place that are many times during the day.
4. No contact with customers and prospects (your database). If you are not having contact with current and potential customers once a month ... you're missing the boat ... loans in its channel ... and committees in the pocket.
The amazing thing is .... is so easy and cheap to do so. A postcard campaign well and mail letters and up to date list are all that is required. Here is an example of what this means to you: Say you have a database of 100 names that keep you in touch. One in five of these contacts are making a mortgage decision in the next year.
It can be a financing decision, a decision to purchase a new primary residence, a decision to purchase a second home, or investment purchase decision. If you think the 20% number is a bit high ... the use of 15%.
So, 20 of the 100 contacts are taking any type of mortgage decision in the next year. You of all 20? Of course not! But you will get your fair share because each month you have kept your name and contact information in front of your database.
If you've been in business for a while, then it probably has 300 or 500 or more contacts on your list. This is your small gold mine. " How well your prospect list will determine their return.
There is no list of contacts ... then start one immediately. It is never too late.
5. The lack of priority. The fact that we are busy, does not mean that we will succeed. Sometimes we focus on all types of activities instead of hits. Therefore, we believe we are busy and we are. Unfortunately we are very busy doing the wrong things.
Do not forget the most important activity of all is ... prospecting for new business. Set aside time each day to explore the possibilities of new mortgage. You will not regret it.
6. If not anticipated. Sometimes we get so involved with our schedule, we blind face with something that we should have anticipated. Yes ... happens to all of us on occasion. But if you're constantly putting out fires, then it is time to change the way they operate. Look at those problem areas and work on eliminating them. Ask yourself why the problems occurred and then correct
them.
Consciousness is more than 50% of the battle. Recognizing the problems has taken the first step on your journey to success.
7. If you do not listen. This is probably the most classic and common error we can do. The person who hears the mortgage but does not listen ... the person who constantly interrupts the mortgage prospects mortgage ... person who provides solutions that are off target, or ... the person mortgage that exceeds the prospects and customers with verbiage that clearly indicates that there have really listened to anything the other person has said.
Learn to listen ... and listen to learn!
8. The lack of investment in the necessary tools to improve and develop your business. My e-mail in box is always full of requests of people seeking help for their mortgage business on the right track.
As you know, there is no single "magic bullet" to ensure its success. But you have to do is "invest" in time and programs to grow and expand your business.
If you spend an hour a day, every day, to learn and study the mortgage business ... and made for a period of sixty days ... easily know more than half of all people working in the mortgage of business today.
Continue to invest in their knowledge and skills you take a big step toward success. Couple that with easy to use, saving time, tools Marketers can edit, and ... business is sure to follow.
