Five of the best golf courses in Turkey
When it comes to golf breaks outside the United Kingdom, a new destination that is becoming very appreciated by the European golf holiday - Turkey. With its Mediterranean climate, beautiful coastline and a growing selection of quality golf courses, is the hope of becoming a real competitor to more established destinations such as the Algarve in Portugal.
Most courses are concentrated around the town of Belek, which consciously designed to create a paradise for golf today. Antalya Golf Club
Antalya Golf Club is one of the best in Turkey. It has two golf courses - the Sultan and the Pascha - and dangerous water hazards dominate the two courses. They require careful play and units accurate, but a golfer who takes up the challenge here will be rewarded with spectacular views and a very enjoyable round of golf.
Glory
As Antalya Golf Club, Gloria actually contains two courses outstanding for a golf break in Turkey. The Old Glory is a nine-hole academy, running through pine forests is an excellent place to hone his game, while New Glory is a difficult and complex course that could be the best in the country.
Cornelia Golf Club
A particular favorite for more experienced players on a golf holiday in Turkey, the Cornelia Golf Club was designed by Nick Faldo and offers three different combinations of 18 holes - the King, Queen and Prince courses. You can be fiercely difficult, but if you can master the course is a true joy to play.
Lykia Links
Golf courses in Turkey tend to be parkland courses (such as Cornelia) or sprinkled with water hazards (As two courses in the Antalya Golf Club) and Lykia Links is the first true links course in the country, designed by Pete Dye. Golfers can here enjoy the breathtaking coastal views, although opinions are good price, the unpredictability of the Mediterranean winds can ramp up the difficulty of this course, but the challenge is part of the experience in Lykia Links.
National Golf Club
The National Golf Club was the first international standard golf course in Turkey and still retains its position as one of the finest courses in the country. The beautiful course is a joy to play, and attached PGA Academy offers expert tuition and practice for players who want to improve their game, while on a golf break in Turkey.
