Protect your head with a cold half Helmet
DOT approved helmet, half are quickly becoming the most popular type of motorcycle helmet. Formed after the German motorcycle helmet, these small and light weight helmets are among the best available for the rider.
Many materials are used in the manufacture of a motorcycle helmet on average. The best manufacturers of motorcycle half helmets use super lightweight materials and may have a helmet weighing only 28 ounces. Best quality of the helmets are made of a durable weight, but light carbon fiber casing. The manufacturer used styrofoam as a spacer / padding inside of the shell. Lined with terry cloth, and double stainless steel d rings for the chin strap, helmet medium can offer the best combination of comfort and safety. Some helmets half finished with a leather exterior in the tank, or just a paint scheme with graphics.
There are many sub-styles of helmets available means. The retro style is simply a round shell, without a visor. Just a shell and chin straps. There are some retro-style half helmets that have a leather patch on ear where it fits in the chin strap to provide some warmth to the rider on cool nights or days. The hat / shorty style half helmets are very similar to hockey, polo helmet in half, with the exception that the visor can be removed. These heaters can also be optionally neck, and also have the face shield visors to lift snapped into place. The hat / shorty style is the most popular categories of hull half.
When buying a half helmet, use a cloth measuring tape to measure the size of your head. Ask someone to help you so you can get a measurement accurate. Measure around the circumference of the head about an inch above the eyebrows, or any point in giving the most. If the measurement falls between two sizes, use the larger of the two sizes. The measurements of the sizes XS 20 1 / 4 - 20 7 / 8 ", S 21ro al 21o 5 / 8" H 21 3 / 4 - 22 3 / 8 ", L 22 1 / 2 - 23 1 / 8 "XL 23 1 / 4 to 24" XXL - 24 1 / 8 - 24 / 7 8 ".
always remember DOT approved helmet check, and ask DOT by the number available for the helmet, so you can verify that the helmet is legitimately manufactured to meet or exceed DOT standards. This may be the factor decisive in some cases as to whether or not wearing a helmet in some states that require helmets to be worn when riding a motorcycle.
