Classic irons: Callaway X-22 Iron Set
When i begin to write this article, i ask myself: Callaway x-22 irons is so old model for many golfers, why i still want to write a articles to instroduce it. I give myself two reasons:1, it is my first irons to begin my golf career;2, it is best sellers at that time. So i decide to do this to talk about the callaway's classic irons: Callaway X-22 Iron Set.
Let's start with its own information:
The goal of Callaway's X-Series Irons has always been lofty: Set the performance standard for the industry. Callaway has done it again with the X-22 Irons, the best X-Series Irons Callaway has ever made. The perimeter weighting of the X-22s has been maximized for a moment of inertia (MOI) that’s 10 percent higher than their predecessors, meaning you get more forgiveness on off-center strikes. The ideal center of gravity position has been preserved, generating optimal ball-flight trajectories. Callaway has also incorporated the Modified Tru-Bore design, dampening vibration for enhanced feel. The tour-inspired head shape has a slightly thinner top line and sole with a large sweet spot for improved aesthetics and forgiveness to boost your confidence.
Second, its Features, we should pay attention to:
1. True Temper High Launch Uniflex shaft
2. Precision notch weighting raises the MOI while maintaining the optimal CG position.
3. Tour-inspired head shape includes a thinner top line and narrower sole
4. Modified Tru-Bore dampens vibration for enhanced feel and performance

One thing that I have not liked about Callaway irons in the past is the "clunky" look at address. The X-22 irons were designed with some "tour" features in mind such as a thinner topline and sole which is nicer in my opinion to look at while still maintaining the forgiveness of a "larger" looking iron. Kudos to Callaway for working on that.
Packed into the X-22 irons is some fancy technology that you've come to expect from Callaway Golf such as VHT, which is the variable face technology that allows more weighting on the perimeter of the club for more forgiveness, S2H2 which allows for weight to be removed from the hosel to be used elsewhere, and Modified Tru-Bore, which allows the shaft tip to extend through the hosel and clubhead to the sole of the iron and improves feel and control by moving the tip of the shaft closer to the center of the clubface. If you've played Callaway irons in the past, it's something you are certainly familiar with.

The irons are right up there with some of the best GI irons I have played recently. At that point it is a preference. They worked incredibly well for me though.
