Berges - Ponds - Lakes - Swimming Holes: These locations are true treasure hunt dominant positions. The bank is a huge area that can provide a lifetime to detect. The banks were used as ferry, and some were filled with toll bridges. Timers local age may be able to tell where the local fishing and swimming spots were old. Remember that many of the old fishing spots were also drinking, or birthday, and wells with which Many people took off their outer clothes, losing change as they did. And even back in the early years, people have clothes to the banks of the river to wash in water. The same thing applies to farm ponds, the age, many were once used as a favorite summer swimming or picnic area. Banks and banks of rivers, ponds, streams, lakes, places, etc. are excellent for coins, jewelry, ornaments and more.

Schools are open during the school season is an ideal place for find modern coins and even a few pieces of clothing, too many knickknacks, small cars, and cheaper jewelry items can be found easily in the modern school.

If you are as lucky as me, then you live in a rural area or a country that has much its old buildings. I know where there are two old buildings house which served as the school room, these places are open in late 1800 to early 1940. Imagine the wonderful finds these old grounds in May skins. The houses of the old school hall also served as churches, social halls, farm Barn Buildings and meeting places for scouts, ladies aid Societys and more.

Many old churches and houses of a village school had its own treasure chests, that's right. When built these buildings, children and adults bury a chest on the base or foundation of the building. The chest was a sort of time capsule with coins, newspapers and other unique items from the time the building was erected. Many of these old buildings to rot over time and people have forgotten the time capsule buried near the cornerstone.

Finding the land is located in a church is like finding a pirate booty, you never know what you can find. And many churches are very old, even many people are like modern schools, which are built on land where the elders were. Churches were often the first buildings in many cities. Right here where I live are numerous churches, and was built in the early 1700s. Church buildings not only housed the people on Sunday, but most were wedding sites, reception halls, dance halls, places for food, places for ice cream social meeting places for group and more.

Woods - The woods can be awesome for metal detecting, if you know what you are looking for. Research the old paths, those are great places to detect along. Former paths in the woods served as shortcuts to open fields for farmers to put their equipment through, or for cattle to follow and much more. In a wooded area not far from where I grew up as a child, I know where an old road, become now with trees and shrubs, most people ignore or do not know what history is. My grandfather and dad built the road by blasting stumps and felled trees by hand. They used the path to quickly get tractors, agricultural machinery and another open field below the woods. Just imagine how many times my own father and grandfather probably Sat along the old road, eating their food or drink any lemon cool under the shade of a tall tree. Whenever someone Sat along a road eating lunch, which often take a handkerchief in old fabric from his pocket to blow your nose or wipe your mouth, often losing some Pocket change both.

Another rare metal, but the detection site interesting can often be found in the forests of stone foundations and stone chimneys, each has the possibility of a rare gold coin or a jar antique silver coins. Remember that even if the foundation or a stone fireplace, was part of Familys house with children playing, parties and numerous outdoor activities.
