Kansas Jayhawks

Top Dogs LSU and California were upset over the weekend, now there are only 6 undefeated teams left: Ohio State, South Florida, Boston College, Arizona State, Kansas and Hawaii.
Three weeks ago, there were 23 unbeaten teams, today, 17 of they came up sucking pond water by going to a national championship. It is possible that several teams with one loss could win the national championship, when all is said and done.
Believe me when I say that 5 of 6 undefeated teams left in the thin air, Ohio State is accustomed to being in the Race for the national championship. The Buckeyes received and dispatched a small team of Kent State 48-3 Saturday. Note that the 7-0 Ohio State, Mark has played the 72nd Division I schedule weakest teams. They have a defense, but have not had the best competition.
South Florida extended his record to 6-0 by beating Central Florida 64-12 easily. At least the Bulls have played the 31st most difficult schedule among all 242 Division 1-A and 1-teams AA.
Boston College was 7-0 by Downing pathetic 1.6 to Notre Dame Fighting Irish Squadron 27-14. The Eagles can look and sound like a big problem but given the fact that they have the 79th calendar probably the most difficult are not. At least Notre Dame has played some competition, their strength of schedule is currently No. 2 nationally. Arizona State was behind 17-13 in Washington half, but the Huskies fell again the 3rd quarter giving the Sun Devils 21 points for Arizona State went on to win 44-20.
Arizona State has played the 54th hardest schedule, the Huskies (now 2-4) had the hardest schedule in the country over the last 4 weeks. However, first year coach Dennis Erickson stretched their sheet at 7-0. Kansas took over the Baylor Bears 58-10 terribly weak, but the 6-0 Jayhawks have played flag program toughest 126th. Remember it is only 119 Division 1-A teams.
Hawaii, leaving the last unbeaten team 7-0. The Warriors beat San Jose State 42-35 in overtime. Strength of Schedule Hawaii is 149th among 119 Division 1-A school. Strength of Schedule San Jose State is 52nd nationally, which could explain why the Warriors were likely to win in overtime.
I think the South Florida (31st most difficult schedule) and Arizona State (54th toughest) have the best opportunity to go undefeated. When Boston University, Kansas and Hawaii begin to play somebody worth talking about, they will have their hands full. Boston College plays only 1 of the AP top 25 teams in their last 5 games. Kansas plays only 1 (Missouri) and Hawaii does not play. Competition seems harder to 5.1 Hawaii Boise State.
The Cowboys cut (and I mean cut) Nevada 69-67 on Sunday night not even consider a football game. Of course, it was exciting, but seriously, the WAC is (as in crazy) football at its best, attack and defense. Both defenses the field was irrelevant. The combination of 136 points in the Western Athletic Conference Thurs tied the NCAA record for most points scored in a match. Call it pride WAC.
So who beat LSU? Kentucky won 43-37 in overtime, the game in the 3rd house. So far, the LSU apparently one of the best defenders in the country. Cal Bears lost at home against Oregon State, 31-28.
The AP's Top 25 survey showed Sunday night No. 1 Ohio State, South Florida No. 2 Boston College, No. 3, No. 12 Arizona State, Kansas and No. 15 Hawaii No. 17.
So who is on the rise in AP poll? Ohio State, South Florida, Boston College, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Oregon, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Arizona State, Kansas, Auburn, Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, Texas Tech, Michigan and Kansas State. Many teams are back upward were there before and now fallen lower in the poll or survey. This reflects the gender and the general weakness of teams involved.
So who is dropping? LSU, West Virginia, California, USC, Florida, Missouri, Hawaii and Cincinnati. Top 5 I think the teams do are not overrated Ohio State, South Florida, South Carolina, Oregon and Arizona State. I am so impressed with the rest, despite registration, and where they are ordered.
