Golf Driving Range Design

What are the most important considerations when a constructor is to create a field of golf driving range?

Ideally, a driving range should be a golf learning center. This may include a putting green, bunkers some practice, possibly a place for some lessons inside.

The more pleasant his practice facility, will be in a better position to attract new members, especially if you are a private club. It really is a benefit and an advantage. If we can do more than just a practice, will serve the golf course as well.

What are the kinds of things to look at when setting an exceptional driving range?

In current times, with the evolution of technology, we often have to set the interval to about 330 yards long because people are simply driving the ball much farther than nowadays.

So start with a driving range, then we would like to establish an area in the back of the "T" where we can set up mats. This is useful because Sometimes you may need to work in the area of driving and you may want the grass to be able to recover.

We also like to see a good area to which is about 10000-15000 square feet.

We also encourage a kind of short game facilities. That could be another field of practice that have some chipping areas, bunkers some practice, something that could hit some 20-60 yards.

We generally try to provide some type of installation which would allow it to implement all aspects of the game, including: driving, chipping, putting and sand shots.

I'm sure security has to be an important consideration when setting these up?

The orientation is obviously important and you must be able to have space for proper installation. In general, would not like to have a practice course with a golf hole or club or houses on the right side of the range, the side cut of hole. So I always try to separate that a little.

What about the transmission range?

Whenever possible, we try to practice facility where you do not have to put nets. It's a little expensive so if we can establish a set only by the use of land, is much better.

What about how the range stalls are set up and installation design for real?

There are some common sense issues such as movement and around the starting area, things are going to do bends the "T" (noting the "T" a bit of center), looking at the general orientation prevailing winds, the sunrise or sunset. Ideally we would like to set the range to the northeast - we do not like pointing directly east or west.

We also like to establish some greens on the range so that there is something interesting for people to aspire.

What about the considerations for LZ real? There may be problems with the golf balls taking a beating if the surface area of practice is not in good condition. Problems such as surface rocky, poor drainage, etc.

This is really based on turf quality and maintenance and proper construction. You want to make sure that the rocks and debris are removed before they set seed in the soil. You should also make sure you have a quality support of grass out there. Irrigation, fertilizers, maintenance and drainage are very important to make sure you have good healthy lawn.

Any other considerations that a developer should consider when they are developing a series of drive?

I think if people are thinking about a plant in practice, should find an architect, someone who can work through the process of developing more than a practice, which includes a practice center. Encourage them to obtain detailed work plans and details of drainage and safety issues.
