What is the golf ruling if you hit out of a greenside bunker, directly over the flag and into the water?
I thought when you hit the ball into a water hazard you can drop it anywhere on the line that it crossed into the water hazard. But if it goes over the flag you must not be able to drop it on the green. I am unsure of the rule.
Re drop in the bunker and add the stroke and distance penalty.Going over the flag is no criteria. Since you are in the water hazard you can go to the other side of that hazard and play a ball back over the water.
