Golf Use your unconscious mind to protect your golf swing Analysis Paralysis
It's good to be back in the saddle writing and look fixed on the computer screen again after a week off. Seriously, I'm glad to be back talking about analysis paralysis and unconsciousness golf - Two of my favorite topics of golf psychology.
Focus on how often displacing him from playing his best and most natural golf game. Probably remember similar messages from me before and it ties into the concept that there is a place for thought consciously in the golf course near where you want the ball to go and how you want to come, and a place to trust your unconscious to put your best swing on the ball without any interference from the conscious mind.
I've heard in recent years and read in some of the older golf books in my library on Ralph Guldahl a great golfer of the 1930s. After a relatively slow start as a professional golfer finished winning 16 PGA Tour events over a period of nine years. He peaked with three major victories by the end of this period, but never again to win after 1940. His main victories were in the U.S. Open Oakland Hills in 1937 and again next year at Cherry Hills and finally the Masters in 1939. What always struck me as odd is that until recently, I've never met any of their registration after that time. I guess I thought I had killed or wounded in World War II. Perhaps, in a manner similar to many major British golfers end of 1930, never returned to victory again when competitions golf professionals moving again after years of war.
So imagine my surprise when I found an old news article that confirmed that he continued to play professional golf in the 1940s before becoming a successful professional club. However, completely lost his game after have taken a couple of months off in 1939 to work on his book "The Golf Groove." He began to struggle with its golf course after finishing the book and never returned to win after 1940. Paul Runyan, twice U.S. PGA champion said of him: "What is most ridiculous. He went from being temporarily favorable player in the world who could not play at all. "
So what happened? Well according to his wife, entered into a detailed analysis of your swing to write the book, I could never play his natural game again. Others spoke of him practicing short front of a mirror so she could describe the exact motion in the book.
Certainly it seems so far that was commissioned to write the book of Ralph Guldahl plays with a natural oscillation was free-flowing learned unconsciously. Other articles I've read indicate that he was relaxed on the golf course and only took a few minutes to pan the shot before hitting the ball. So if you want to play your best golf in the area, leave your thoughts on swing practice field, use your conscious mind to evaluate the vaccine and then trust your unconscious free-flowing swing to hit the ball.
