Golf Lessons from a Zen master
When golf on television, you can not help but wonder how men and women can make millions of dollars in a game that seems so simple. Honestly, who can not hit a ball into a hole 4 or 5 attempts? Ahh, but golf is another of those fine arts, and it may take years and years of practice before breaking par - let alone for those trying to birdie goodies! For people looking to get into the sport, golf lessons are probably the best way to go - unless you were raised on the greens as beloved Tiger.
So, is there any real difference between the instructors, or will anyone?
Look, there is $ 7 an hour at McDonald's fry cooks and chefs $ 100,000 for years - both can teach you to cook, but the results you experience will very different. While a higher price does not always mean better quality, is a good rule of thumb to go when looking for the "Zen Master" of your instructor golf lessons.
How I can choose an instructor?
As with almost any decision we make, the budget is always a factor. How much money can you afford? Are these golf lessons to help meet their clients, or you're just looking to learn how to play the game? If you really do not like golf, but I know it would be a great asset to the company, then you'll want a better instructor. After all, the lessons of golf becomes a business investment, Right? In general, you will find the most experienced and sought after instructors teaching courses in the top clubs and resorts. A lesson Las Vegas Golf course at the Academy of Walter could be given by Chuck Matlack, Mike Davis, and Jimmie Pollard - all of whom are seasoned pro with large portfolios - and with good price to match!
Do I have to take private lessons in golf, or are there other options?
Now that is a very good question. You can receive golf lessons from an instructor in a one-on-one setting, or attend a "School of Golf", where lessons are taught in groups. Obviously you will get more personalized golf lessons with a personal trainer, but the process can take months, and progress can be slow. But if you want to save some money and need a crash course, then golf lessons from one of the many schools available is the way forward.
What else should I know?
You should definitely know your own commitment level. Look - golf lessons are not cheap. What is learned - whether from Jimmie Pollard during a golf lesson in Las Vegas or Greg Golf Shack - will to reinforce what you learn with practice. Otherwise, you are just wasting your money. So make sure you really want to play the game, whether for business or pleasure, before deciding to take golf lessons.
As with anything else, you want your golf teacher or school to be the best investment of time and of money. So do not be afraid to ask for references, or even to interview potential instructors before making a decision. After factoring in the budget instruction style, and level of personal commitment, select the best golf lessons for you and your needs. You'll be glad you did.
