Regrip Why? Think about it: Your grips are the only link between you and your golf clubs. A worn slider making requires you to keep the club more difficult, which in turn leads to defects in the mechanics of your swing.

Fortunately, changing your GRIPS easy. My son regripped his own series when she was eight years old. If eight years can do what any reasonably intelligent adult.

What you need

A utility knife (for preferably with a sheet of hook)

The mineral spirits (get the type of toilet)

A Vice (brackets mine in a table)

Grip Tape duplex (or GolfWorks Golfsmith)

A soft rubber strap (from Golfsmith or GolfWorks)

Slip on grips your choice (again, from Golfsmith or GolfWorks

Instructions step by step (first reading)

1) Place the club in the gripper rubber, rubber and clamp into vice. Press to prevent slipping during lifting. If you have graphite shafts, beware not overtighten. Not a big problem with steel shafts - I can not imagine anyone crush them.

2) Cut the claws of age with a knife. Slide the hook on the knife edge of the handle and pull. Divide the handle until the end. Then remove it.

3) Band the old tape with a knife edge right. Use a hair dryer to melt the glue if the tape is stubborn. If you have a graphite shaft, be careful not to damage the fibers.

4) to what extent is the center of the bottom of the handle will fall. You want the band to enter the quarter-inch mark. Usually marks the spot with a small dot with a Sharpie marker.

5) Apply the tape. There are two ways to do this: You can start the mark you made and run in a spiral up the tree. Or you can run longitudinally along the side of the cylinder head and on the other. Peel back the tape so the sticky side shows.

6) Put another small band on the hole in the butt.

7) Set something to catch the mineral spirits in the rear. I use a roll of aluminum paint paint tray.

8) For some mineral spirits in the grip while keeping your finger over the hole in the bottom. Splashes minds throughout the interior of the handle. Make sure you're good and wet.

9) Keeping control over the end of the tape and the toe of the club, letting the spirits run on the strip. Then, for several minds on the tape. Make sure the whole band is wet and is slippery. This is essential. If the tape is poor and slippery, you can not take control - will stick and you have to be cut and start over.

10) Press the grip on the tree. Hold the end the handle with one hand, and the tree to another. Research on the grip end of shaft, then go for it. Do it quickly. Push the handle place to cover the entire band. Once the handle is of the form, press the center down the handle to extend its duration.

11) Most take a couple of small marks on the top and bottom to help with alignment. Sure they are aligned with them. Otherwise, the link can be slightly twis, which can affect your swing.

12) You can put the logo up (I do) or down (as most professionals do). Sure the line parallel to the axis of marks.

13) You can change grip diameter (a little) with some tricks. If you prefer a more grip, put a thick layer of tape on the tree. The band seem more gripping fat. If you prefer to handle a little thinner (I) when marking the lowest point of the handle (step 4) to mark a quarter inch lower than usual. Forcing the link to reach the milestone of reducing Paperwork will be thinner.
