DIRECTV will make its interactive debut on "The Open Championship, completing its coverage of all the golf majors for successful run at the U.S. Open Championship.
With its industry-first of four screens-in-one HD and a mixing channel innovative range of interactive services, "The experience of the British Open" will bring a new level of excitement for golf fans watch the annual battle Claret Jug the historic 138th Open Championship on the scenic course at Turnberry Alisa.
Three additional channels and features industry-leading DIRECTV interactive complete live coverage of TNT from the first two rounds of the Open - all available in HD at no extra charge to DIRECTV customers.
With the addition of the British Open to the lineup of interactive services, DIRECTV will offer complete coverage of all golf courses and eight tennis championships, a level unparalleled sports programming and other television provider more of service.
Mix Channel viewers will see the channel on your home network and three additional channels:
- Featured Holes - Dedicated exclusively to a trio of holes most historic and renowned Turnberry 9, 10 and 11 on the first tournament two rounds.
- Hole 18 - It may be the most popular with 7204 meters of rope links at Turnberry, the hole 18 has been extended by 29 yards and added a third bunker the car, along with two bunkers protecting the approach.
- Highlights of channels - Offers Update highlights all day, plus interviews with the best golfers, and to start or finish their rounds.
Each of the additional channels offered in both standard definition and high definition fully produced with its own production team and commentators and is presented without commercial interruptions. Customers with interactive receivers can see the four channels Mix in the format and use their remote to listen to the audio channel or tune directly to any channel full screen.
Interactive services, available by pressing the red button on the remote control includes a look at the five leaders, the complete classification, with the ability to select any golfer at bottom, hole by hole statistics, one of five concerned, daily trivia contest in the rich history of the British Open, and a "Connect to" element menu allows the viewer to tune directly to the mixer channel (701) and any of the four channels (702-705), including the power to the main network.
