What should I do if my computer says "Inaccessible boot volume?" How I can fix this?
If you know you could give me step by step instructions to do this for Windows XP? I had a similar problem with another computer that was saying "unmountable boot device" I fixed that with the XP CD and a lot of help from people on Yahoo Answers. Do you think the same as the work of this error?
Theres a part of your hard disk is called a boot sector. Sometimes this can be damaged by a virus or not closed down properly. If you are running Windows XP or 2k CD can boot in and begin the installation. One of the options you will see is "repair a Windows installation" Pick this option and arrive at what appears to be a command Two. In the type of prompt: CHKDSK / r This is a disc checker and repair utility may be able to repair the corrupt part of the unit. If you do not try go through the windows and do a repair installation, do as you are installing fresh windows but choosing the right repair after the 2nd license agreement option. The worst scenario is that the hard disk is dead. If you hear a clicking or knocking noise when you try to start, it's a good indecation of a bad hard drive.
