Born....."white and delight some"...WHAT in the world...?
Please, someone from the Mormon belief explain this part of your belief system.
Is your Church really saying that being born black (or of whatever color) is a curse? Also, what is this "pre-existance" thing and some war in Heaven?? Why is this NOT in the Bible?
cclleeoo...Some of it is from things that I researched at my local library..(Pearls of Great Wisdom) etc. the rest is info from a question I saw on here reguarding Mitt Romney and his "role" in some kind of heavenly war?? Can you answer to this or not?
In the Mormon religion they believe that all humans existed prior to being born in a physical body here on Earth. This period of time is referred to as the Pre-Existence. We were all supposedly one big happy family with Heavenly Father , Heavenly Mother(s) and about 20 billion heavenly brothers and sisters.
After awhile they started arguing and a "War in Heaven" broke out. Naturally, the good guys won and the bad guys lost. The bad guys lost their chance to be born in a physical body here on Earth and became Demons. Those who fought bravely were given the priveledge to be born with White skin. Those who did not fight bravely were born with dark or black skin. (this can all be proven in LDS Doctrine) .
The reason it is not in the Bible is Joseph Smith and Brigham Young made it all up. This nonsense was concieved in the 1800's and was an excuse to justify why non whites could not hold the Priesthood and be full members in their fake church. It wasnt untill 1978 that the church finally let blacks have the Priesthood and be full members in their church. They have since changed many of the references of being "White and Delightsome" to "Fair and Delightsome" and claimed it was a reference to ones spirit rather than ones skin color.
Of course , being image concious as they are they will not give a direct answer to questions like this and will try to make up some wishy washy answer to make themselves look better. Do some research on this topic and you will be amazed at what you find.
The reference to Mitt Romney was made to highlight the supposition that a high profile Mormon male Priesthood Holder in these latter days would have presumably been some kind of Commanding General during the "War in Heaven" to have been blessed with such a noble LDS birthright. Of course its all a lie. God made all mankind equal. The LDS just made all the war in heaven stuff up.
