3D is back! This is not your father's 3D. This is an advanced 3D technology that once you see it will want to see more! It seems that everywhere we see the 3D film displays 3D TV, 3D even for your iPhone!
However, there are many issues that applications 3D. What is 3D? What distinguishes 3D has already come? What are all these different glasses? Can I see 3D without glasses?
Firstly, some history. The 3D has begun for millions of years with humans. Yes, we see things in 3D. All human beings have binocular vision. What it means is that we have two eyes separated by a space of 2.3 inches. This allows us to perceive depth and see the world in 3D. This separation causes each eye to see things from a slightly different angle. The brain combines the two images into one. Includes spatial differences and uses them to calculate the distance. This is how the sense of depth and distance.
A simple way to understand this principle is to keep the thumb up at arm's length and cover one eye with your hand. Then try putting your hand on the other eye. How to switch between your eyes open you should see your thumb "jumping" from before back on the bottom.
Stereoscopy was invented in 1838. There are many debates on the first 3D film, but "Arriva © L 'e Train "filmed in 1903 by brothers Lumia ¨ re. They were the inventors of cinema and is often designated as the first stereoscopic Film History. When he was released, the public panicked because they thought the train was about to fall right on them! The funny thing that is, probably, was the first of the remakes. The film was remade in the original was released in 1895! And you wonder what keeps the film remake Hollywood. It is practically born to him!
If you're like me then you probably experienced 3D for the first time in his life to the old Viewmaster viewer. You've caught this thingy round fun with the waves like a Viewmaster, eyes glued to the eye and leaned over the coffee table. Suddenly, they were transported to one million places where he felt he could reach and touch objects 3D. Never mind that this is indeed true 3D stereoscopic and would be more like a hologram that is standing in front of you and not the kind I mean CNN. Until then, I was hooked!
After that came and went in 3D to appear in several incarnations during the 50s, 60's, 70's and 80's. Titles such as "House of (1953) Wax, Robot Monster (1953), The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), Dial M for Murder (1954) Flesh for Frankenstein (aka Andy Warhol's) (1973), Jaws 3D (1983) and Captain EO (1986) to name a few.
Now, fast forward in November 2008 and first 3DX Festival is held in Singapore. Some lights up the world attended the 3DX Festival to promote media 3D Communication including Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO of DreamWorks Animation, Mark Zoradi, president of Walt Disney Motion Picture Group, Jon Landau, producer James Cameron's 3 D of her new film Avatar, and other administrators who are all involved in projects in 3D: Robert Zemeckis, James Cameron, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Peter Jackson.
There different types, or flavors, 3D. Some bring 3D technology into the vessels, while others put on a monitor or high-demand technology. Computers or even the iPhone can support 3D, but require additional active components, such as software and applications that have been recently established.
The first time that 3D technology has been created using traditional glass, red and blue. This is called anaglyph and is very inexpensive, both in cost and performance. Fortunately, with increasing technological advancement that we have much better ways of show 3D media.
Polarized lenses are another common type of 3D glasses. These 3D glasses are obtained in IMAX 3D or in other theaters. Although better job than the former type of glasses of red and blue, these methods require two projectors in the theater and additional layers of technology screen to function properly. The Stage play, once the costs and additional costs for polarized lenses can make this method less attractive.
3D screens without glasses is here today. There are various ways in which it is based the 3D display technology. One way is to use the display of multiple layers of colored glass as above, which is expensive, but not need special glasses to watch 3D on the screen.
