Burner High

The side burner on my grill burns a high yellow flame .. ?

even with the burner turned as low as possible .. flame is approximately 1 cm and yellow-orange .. making it impossible to cook something and leave a mess in the pan Sutty black. What can I do to fix this .. burner is providing excess oxygen? Do I need a new valve for the burner? Anybody ever experience themselves?

Do not start to fill holes in the burner. Therein lies the problem. Not enough oxygen for complete combustion and air is supplied through the opening mixing air into the burner. Check for obstructions hole, or some of them are adjustable and the adjustment may have slipped. Sometimes, spiders and other insects are embedded in the airflow hole or tube and limiting. You can usually remove the burner and the pipe stub and consider any obstruction.
