Please confirm: Ford stopped producing the 5.0 in the 94 when they changed the Fox body Mustang right?

I GT saw a 96 on Tuesday and said Fwy 5.0 emblem on ... I know in my heart, it is an after market engine swap because I 'm already about 99% certain that Ford left to make the 5.0 when it stopped producing the body of the fox and the LX. and went strictly to 3.8 and 4.6. but I a friend who is talking to me on that.
