How do I make a tree level in edible cake?
I'm five levels with a cake fondant. Want to create a tree, very stylized, which begins in the lower left corner of the lowest levels and the tree and its branches extend up three levels. Tend to "paint based on ice or in a bag and tip. I am looking for something edible that you can carve a tree in its place and directly based. I do not want to be independent, in other words, I want the press against each level as it rises so it is directly on the cake. So as you can sculpt something to do with branches and delicate, like clay, and can then be gently pressed directly on the cake. I tried flux, but it is too light, and how I can create branches and shape them, are broken. Comments?
Oh, boy, I went looking for instructions on carving sugar and wine Thanks for this site: http://www.historicfood.com/Royal-sugar-Sculpture.htm Anyway, once I closed my jaw and looked a little more, I found these instructions for eggs forming sugar. Could apply the same principle for trees. Http: / / www.baking911.com/events/easter.htm.
