Why do so many Christians do not believe?
in what the Bible says about the dead? that says they do not know more and they are asleep until the resurrection and trial. no spirits of the dead walking. no zombies and not the souls ascend to heaven. awake when the dead will stand before the Lord. that's all what they know, the next thing you know according to Scripture. Why Christians to teach other things besides this? is to appease themselves about death?
Col 3:2 Set your minds on things above, not things that are on earth. Heb. 11:16: But as they [Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, etc] the desire for a better country, that is heavenly. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. John 14:2-3: "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not, I would have told you, because I go to prepare a place for you. If I go to prepare a place for you, come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, you be too. "2 Cor. 12:2-4: I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago-whether in the body do not know, or out of body I do not know, God knows, a man was caught up to the third heaven. And I know how that man, whether in the body or outside the body do not know, God knows-was caught to paradise and heard unspeakable words, which a man is not allowed to speak. Acts 7:59: They went on stoning, Stephen called () and the Lord said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit "2 Cor. 5:6-8: Therefore, be always in good spirits, and know that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord - Because we walk by faith not by sight, we are in a good mood, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and be home with the Lord. Phil. 1:22-23: But if I live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me, and I do not know which to choose. But I'm in trouble in both directions, with a desire to depart and be with Christ, who is much better. 2 Pet. 1:13-14: I consider it correct, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, to move up to the record, knowing that putting aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent, as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me. 1 Thes. 4:17: Then we who are alive will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Phil. 3:20: For our citizenship is in heaven, whence also look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, Col. 1:5, because of the hope for you in heaven, which previously heard the word of truth, the gospel 1 Pet. 1:4: to obtain an inheritance which is incorruptible and undefiled and will not fade, reserved in heaven for you, 2 Tim. 4: 18: The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and I bring it safely to his heavenly kingdom, He is () the glory for ever and ever. "Verb, 2837, koimaomai is used natural sleep," " Matt. 28:13, Luke 22:45, John 11:12, Acts 12:6, the death of the body, but only those who belong to Christ, but never of Christ himself, although he's "firsts of those who have stayed ", 1 Cor. 15:20; of the saints who came before Christ came, Matt. 27:52, Acts 13:36; of Lazarus, while Christ was still on earth, John 11:11; of believers after the Ascension, 1 Thess. 4:13-15, Acts 7:60, 1 Cor. 7:39, 11:30; 15:6,18,51, 2 Pet. 3:4. Note: This metaphorical use of the word dream is appropriate, because of the similarity in appearance between a sleeping body and a dead body, tranquility and peace that normally characterize both. The purpose of the metaphor is to suggest that, as the bed does not cease to exist when his body sleeps, so the dead person continues to exist despite his absence from the region in which the remaining can communicate with him, and as sleep is known to be temporary, so the death of the body was found ... That the body is visible only in this metaphor is obvious, (a) the derivation of the word koimaomai of keimai, lie (cf. anastasis resurrection, of Anna, "top" and histemi to cause of foot), cp. Is. 14:8, where by "established" September has been "asleep" (b) the fact that in the New Testament of the resurrection of the word is used only the body, (c) of Dan. 12:2, where the dead are described physically as "them that sleep (katheudo September 1 Thess. 5:6) in the dust of the earth, "language applicable to the spiritual part of man and also when the body returns whence it came, Gen. 3:19, the spirit returns to God who gave it, Eccl. 12:7." When the physical structure of the Christians (the house of our earthly tabernacle, 2 Cor. 5:1) dissolves and returns to dust, the spiritual part of their great complexity, the seat of the personality, apart from being with Christ, Phil. 1:23. And from that state in which the believer is absent from the body is at home with the Lord, 2 Cor. 5:6-9, is described as "much better" than the current state of the joy of communion with God and happy in their service activity, everywhere is reflected in Paul's writings, it is clear the dream of the word ',' when applied to the dead Christians, is not intended to convey the idea that the mind is unconscious.
